Philomath OREGON: Wedding Photographer
A Whimsical Wedding at the Family Pond in Philomath, OR
Saturday, June 29th, 2024
Allison and Jake’s wedding was the perfect blend of whimsy, nature, and celebration. Soft pastels, delicate florals, flowing tablescapes, dainty umbrellas, and a mix of ladybugs and dragonflies in shades of blues and greens created a scene that felt like it was pulled straight from a Monet painting. This beauty was set against the tranquil backdrop of Jake’s family property in the woods of Philomath, Oregon, filling the day with pure magic.
The day began with a private vow exchange on a special hill on the property. From there, the ceremony unfolded in front of a stunning pond, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
Guests were shuttled through the enchanted forest on a charming school bus, adding a nostalgic touch to the experience. They were then treated to glamping accommodations provided by Cascade Glamping (link), where they enjoyed an unforgettable evening under the stars, roasting hot dogs and s’mores by the fire and dancing the night away.
Meghan Dilba of Sideways & Co. (link) worked tirelessly to bring the couple’s romantic, whimsical vision to life, ensuring every detail was thoughtfully executed and perfectly timed.

BEAZELL MEMORIAL FOREST: An Eco-Friendly Wedding
Kristi and Colton: Nature lovers, yoga enthusiasts, and all-around super awesome humans—tied the knot in the heart of Beazell Memorial Forest.
Located just outside of Corvallis, Oregon, off Kings Valley Highway, Beazell Memorial Forest is the perfect location for couples seeking a peaceful, nature-filled wedding day. This venue is perfect for couples who want to feel far from the city while still being conveniently close to town! One of the best things about Beazell is its minimalist versatility. The forest offers many unique options for structuring your wedding day, making it a fantastic spot for couples who want to center their day in nature.
For Kristi and Colton, this venue was a perfect fit. As nature lovers and frequent hikers in the Pacific Northwest, they couldn’t have chosen a more fitting place for their ceremony. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they exchanged vows under the grand oak tree. The soft light filtering through the branches created a whimsical, almost fairytale-like atmosphere, enhancing the already stunning natural surroundings.
The reception was just as thoughtful and memorable. Held in a cozy barn, it featured a small dance floor at the center that grew as the night went on, filled with joy, laughter, and heartfelt celebrations. Kristi’s attention to detail and love for the planet shone through with her decision to pick her own bouquet and thrift glassware for each guest, creating unique and eco-friendly touches that minimized waste.
I felt incredibly honored to capture this day for Kristi and Colton— wonderful people who exude warmth, kindness, and a deep love for each other and the planet. I officially met Kristi & Colton at Willamette Valley Power Yoga in Corvallis (Willamette Valley Power Yoga), a hot yoga studio that leaves you feeling like you’re walking on air after every class. I knew from the minute Kristi and I chatted after yoga about their wedding day, that it was something I was going to love being a part of.
Their wedding day was a beautiful fusion of their love for nature, their mindfulness, and the start of their new journey together. The combination of the forest’s natural beauty, the overcast skies, and the love shared between the couple made for a day that was intimate, personal, and unforgettable. It was a celebration full of heart and connection, and I’m so grateful to have been a part of it.
Kristi also owns her own business, Sundew & Saffron, where she crafts small batches of tinctures, oils, and herbal blends—locally sourced and harvested by hand. If you're looking for your new favorite facial toner, you can find it here!

Eco-Friendly Wedding at Irving Street Studio in Portland, OR
October 6th, 2023
Sara and Sean’s wedding took place at the eco-conscious Irving Street Studio in Portland, OR—a venue known for its industrial charm and commitment to sustainability. The venue’s unique blend of modern architecture and environmental mindfulness perfectly matched the couple’s values and vision for their big day.
Sara got ready at a charming Old Portland rental home just a few miles from the venue, while Sean prepped in a high-rise studio. With creative freedom to choose the first look location, I discovered a hidden gem just a few blocks away—a park with a striking undulating steel fence. The vibrant fall foliage and peaceful surroundings made it the perfect spot for an intimate first look and a quiet moment before the ceremony.
The ceremony, officiated by Sara’s mentor, was short, sweet, and surrounded by the lush floral design by Colibri PDX, which complemented and elevated the natural beauty of the venue's industrial brick.
For a fun twist on tradition, Sara and Sean opted to share a heart-shaped churro, provided by Churros Locos, instead of a traditional cake cutting. The sweet treat perfectly matched their laid-back vibe and added a personal touch.
The evening ended with an epic dance party, where their friend Matson the DJ played all their favorite songs, filling the dance floor with energy and joy.

Nina and Jason celebrated their love with an intimate, beautiful backyard wedding in downtown Corvallis. Surrounded by family and friends, their day was filled with warmth, love, and laughter.
Held on a family friend’s property, the small yard and garden provided the perfect backdrop for a romantic and intimate atmosphere. Every detail was carefully planned and executed, with coordination led by Emili (@beyondtheveil_events), Elegant Outcomes (Elegant Outcomes on The Knot). The lush garden setting complemented the couple’s vision for a simple yet elegant celebration. The bride, Nina, looked absolutely stunning with makeup and hairstyling by the lovely ladies from Adore Salon.
A buffet-style dinner was provided by Forks and Corks Catering, and guests were treated to the unique addition of refreshing ice cream from Sugar J’s Ice Cream Workshop for dessert. The beautiful florals, from Raising Joy Farm, added a fresh and natural touch to the overall aesthetic, while the chic rentals from Special Occasions and For The Love of Peter Rentals helped bring their dream wedding to life.
The evening's festivities were set to the perfect soundtrack, thanks to the incredible DJ @SmileDJs, who kept the dance floor lively and fun. Once the music cut off, the wedding party kept the party going—heading down to the top of the cock, a Corvallis icon, also known as The Peacock.

Alsea Oregon Backyard Wedding
Mr & Mrs Nyhus
August, 2021
Alsea Oregon is nestled in Oregon Coast range on hwy 34 between Corvallis OR & Waldport OR. Highway 34 follows the beautiful Alsea River from the Willamette valley to the Oregon Coast, its a windy road but totally worth the beauty of the drive if you ever find yourself traveling between the Willamette Valley & the Oregon Coast.
This Alsea Oregon backyard wedding was magical. Every detail of this backyard wedding was well thought out and beautifully crafted.
We started the day inside their home, popping Champagne & reading love notes. When I left the venue there was a fine mist settling over the valley, the chatting & laughter from the dance floor echoed through the night - it was magical.
